Banana bread is truly one of the greats. Not only is it very easy to make, but it's also delicious and saves bananas from rotting in the trash when you forget to eat them. Banana bread is one of my favorite things to bake (and eat), so when I buy bananas I always get a few extra as an excuse to make it. Over the years I've made many versions of banana bread, but this basic Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is always my go-to!

Ingredients:
1/2 C Butter, softened
3/4 C Light Brown Sugar
3 Mashed Overripe Bananas
2 Eggs
2 C Flour
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon, optional
1/2 tsp Salt
12 oz Chocolate Chips
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, beat the Butter and Light Brown Sugar until fluffy, then stir in the Mashed Overripe Bananas.
Add the Eggs to the butter mixture and beat until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, combine the Flour, Baking Soda, Cinnamon (if using), and Salt.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until fully combined.
Stir the Chocolate Chips into the batter.
Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes, then remove the load and let it cool fully on cooling rack (or enjoy it hot)!
